Banner Wins Major Commendation at the Business Commitment to the Environment (BCE) Environmental Leadership Awards

Banner’s Globe & Tick™ scheme has won a Major Commendation at the Business Commitment to the Environment Leadership Awards.

Held on 4 June at the Lincoln Centre in London, the award was presented to Jane Henderson, the company’s Quality and Environmental Manager, by Sir Anthony Cleaver, President of the BCE. The ceremony also included a keynote speech from the Rt Hon David Miliband, Secretary of State for the Environment. Jane said, “I was thrilled that such a prestigious award body should acknowledge our efforts to drive environmental initiatives forward with our customers.”

The Globe & Tick™ range includes over 1,000 office products, each of which has been rigorously assessed using criteria set by Dr Jane Powell, an independent environmental scientist. The Globe & Tick™ symbol provides customers with a simple way to identify and choose environmentally preferred office products.
