Manchester staff raise funds for Camberwell Park

Employees at our National Distribution Centre in Manchester have raised over £85 for their chosen local school, Camberwell Park.

Staff organised a Charity Quiz to raise funds for Camberwell Park, a specialist support school for children with learning difficulties and disabilities. Teams of employees took part, with all entry fees donated to the school. Operations Director, Mike Weston, took on the role of Quiz Master and even dressed up for the occasion. After a close contest the ‘Belt Up’ team took the top spot, with ‘Universally Challenged’ winning the tiebreaker to take second place. Third place ‘Quizzy Rascals’ won a prize for best name.

All proceeds will be donated to Camberwell Park. The school has places for 91 children between the ages of 2 and 11 years and is the specialist support centre for North Manchester. Staff at our Manchester Distribution Centre have developed strong links with the school and regularly hold events to fundraise for Camberwell Park. They’ll be extending their support further in 2010 by helping out at the school doing odd jobs such as painting fences and gardening.
