Banner launches battery recycling service

Banner now provides a free take-back and recycling service for portable waste batteries.

The battery recycling service is compliant with new UK Regulations*  and provides Banner customers with a simple and sustainable way to dispose of their used portable batteries. Find out more about the new service.

A collection box will be provided upon request to the battery compliance scheme, making it easy for our customers to recycle their batteries and prevent them going to landfill. Government targets aim to increase battery recycling to 10% of portable batteries by 2010, 25% by 2012 and 45% by 2016. Currently the UK national battery collection rate is just under 5%.

Banner offers a range of recycling and disposal services. These include secure document destruction, toner cartridges, and electrical and electronic equipment.
