Green OPTIMISA™

Green OPTIMISA™ is designed to measure the costs and environmental impacts of your buying behaviour.

It works by using the transaction data associated with the purchase to pay process, for example the volume of orders, deliveries and invoicing. This information is used in conjunction with key environmental metrics (such as the miles per gallon achieved by our vehicles) in order to identify:

• The environmental impacts of our vehicles - measured in litres of fuel and kilograms of CO₂
• The paper used in the transaction process for orders including despatch notes, pick lists, driver manifests and labels - measured in sheets
• The packaging used to deliver your orders - measured in kilograms

By evaluating this information we can measure the environmental performance of the procurement process and recommend initiatives to improve its efficiency, thereby reducing your carbon footprint.  Such initiatives might include implementing weekly scheduled deliveries, reusable packaging or electronic ordering.
